The Air Safety Institute digs deeper into radio communication in this information-packed seminar. Hear the other side of the story from air traffic controllers. Find out how to increase your margin of safety through effective communication with ATC. Virginia Aviation Safety Week began in 1981 when the DOAV recognized there was a need in providing Commonwealth pilots with aviation safety information. The week is co-sponsored by the AOPA Air Safety Institute, founded in 1950, who is dedicated to making flying easier and safer for general aviation pilots.
