Another beautiful weekend is on tap for the Commonwealth! Why not enjoy it at one of many aviation events happening this weekend?

Saturday

Air Fest 2010 will be held from 10a.m.- 4 p.m. at Culpeper Regional Airport. Static displays of aircraft from vintage planes to modern jets. An airshow to see these planes in flight. Fun for the whole family. All this and more and its still a free event at Culpeper Regional Airport. EAA Chapter 511 Shenandoah Valley is having the 7th Annual Shenandoah Valley Poker Run. Start time is at pilot's discretion, but participants will meet at Shenandoah Valley Regional (SHD) at 4 pm to see who has the best hand. The Poker Run will be held as a Benefit event for David Van Clief, a flight instructor at Eagles Nest Airport, who was unexpectedly taken seriously ill. ALL entry fees (and additional donations) will go toward his expenses. Wings of Freedom Tour B-17, B-24 and P-51 Mustang visit Warrenton-Fauquier Airport. On Sunday, October 10 there will be a luncheon with WWII veterans speaking about their experiences in the war.
